WHAT IS A CAKE SMASH SESSION?

it is the magnificent session creation for your little one's birthday! 

simply put – we pop a cake in front of your kiddo, and let them go absolutely nuts with cake. 

for kids celebrating their first birthday; we have a bubble bath for them to create even more splashing, messy fun. 

we don't just shoot for one year olds; we can do any age! bubble bath option will be revoked but we complete a birthday shoot prior to cake smashing with loads of balloons, confetti and so much more.

    for your cake, bring along a woolies mud cake, or make your own if you wish!

FAQ

  • we hold cake smash sessions in the studio where we can control the environment and lighting.

    we can hold sessions outdoors, just minus the bubble bath component.

  • you should book in for 2 weeks prior to bub’s birthday.

    we take bookings up to 3 months in advance, with recommendations to book in 6-8 weeks in advance.

  • we can do cake smashes at any age! however the bubble bath component is only available for one year olds.

    we replace that part of your session with extra photos on your backdrop — and for adults even do a champagne spray!

  • we hold paper backdrops of all colours of the rainbow.

    we also do hold vinyl wood flooring drops for the extra touch if needed.

  • we hold a huge range of decor in our studio from lights, greenery, florals, and paper decor.

    if you wanted a specific theme for your session, please let us know. if booked far enough in advance, we can order special items from amazon at a cost.

  • we do try our very best to make kiddos comfortable during your session.

    if they do get upset and we’ve exhausted every measure possible, we will reschedule your session to the next possible date for the both of us.

    sometimes kids do get overwhelmed, are teething + don’t want to smile or play the game on the day. and that’s okay!
